Mystery | Mystery Woman Sleuth | Suspense

Ayesha RYDER is an expert in all things Middle East. It helps that she is Palestinian by birth even though she is now a British citizen. The local police call her for help in cases they feel she may be able to give them insight. When her close friend a Jewish intellect is tortured and murdered, Ayesha takes a personal interest in the case.

Little does she realize that she and the detectives involved are being dragged into a very dangerous plot. Their success can change the face of the Middle East forever. As things get more dangerous RYDER does not know who to trust and must turn to someone or she will fail. Can she make the right choices to succeed and will her past be a hindrance or a help? And what does Lawrence of Arabia have to do with it all?

RYDER is an exciting thriller with characters that you can't help but like. RYDER, the police she works with and even the MI5 make this a thrill a minute story. You understand why she can't trust people and see the mistakes made by everyone involved.

There is a great tie into Lawrence of Arabia and some interesting history that make this story well worth reading. Good story, good read and characters that make you want to read more and more about them. Nick Pengelley has a hit with the character of Ayesha RYDER.

SUMMARY

Ayesha Ryder bears the scars of strife in the Middle East. Now her past is catching up to her as she races to unravel a mystery that spans centuries—and threatens to change the course of history. As Israeli and Palestinian leaders prepare to make a joint announcement at the Tower of London, an influential scholar is tortured and murdered in his well-appointed home in St.John’s Wood. Academic researcher Ayesha Ryder believes the killing is no coincidence. Sir Evelyn Montagu had unearthed shocking revelations about T. E. Lawrence—the famed Lawrence of Arabia. Could Montagu have been targeted because of his discoveries? Ryder’s search for answers takes her back to her old life in the Middle East and into a lion’s den of killers and traitors. As she draws the attention of agents from both sides of the conflict, including detectives from Scotland Yard and MI5, Ryder stumbles deeper into Lawrence’s secrets, an astounding case of royal blackmail, even the search for the Bible’s lost Ark of the Covenant. Every step of the way, the endgame grows more terrifying. But when an attack rocks London, the real players show their hand—and Ayesha Ryder is left holding the final piece of the puzzle.
