Samantha Marcello thought she had a perfect life, a
wonderful best friend, a loving fiancé and a dream to open
her own pub one of these days. The illusion shattered when
her best friend Rosie ran off with her fiancé Michael eight
years ago. Sam picked up the shattered pieces of her life
and moved on. She opened the Silver Swan to rave reviews.
Then her ex-fiancé Michael walks back into her life. He's
now a widower but there's one small problem. He is still
attached to Rosie. She is a ghost who follows him and
their daughter, Julie except Sam is the only one who can
see her. Rosie can talk to Sam as well. What is up with
this?
Julie takes an instant dislike to Sam despite everything
Sam tries to do. Sam decides she has to do something about
Rosie if she wants any chance whatsoever of getting back
with Michael. Then there's this little thing with
Michael's brother Derek not to mention Sam's waiter, Johnny
and Sam's bald biker chick chef, Eva. Oh the plot gets
thicker and thicker.
I loved everything about this book. It was a page-turner
for sure. I will be looking forward to see what else Lynda
Simmons will be writing about. I highly recommend this one!
An outrageously entertaining debut novel of life, love,
death—and the afterlife.
Rosie Fisk was once Samantha Marcello's best friend—but
that was before she ran off with Sam's fiancé, Michael,
seven years ago. Since then Sam has found a new love, The
Silver Swan, her pub. And just as it seems that time has
healed all her wounds, Michael walks back into her life—
and now he's a widower.
With Rosie out of the picture, and unable to ignore the
feelings she still has for him, Sam takes the opportunity
to reconcile with Michael. But Rosie isn't about to let
death stop her from keeping them apart. Her ghost has been
hanging around her husband, playing on his grief and guilt—
and only Sam can see her.
Rosie stole Michael from her once. But this time Sam is
going to exorcise her once and for all...
