Fantasy Urban | Romance Paranormal
Creed Blackwood's parents had their magic stripped from
then when Creed was a young boy. He was too strong in magic
so the Gineal placed him with another Gineal family and
wiped their memories of their son and only child. What
Creed didn't know years later was that they had a daughter,
Shona. Shona is a dormant Gineal who knows nothing of their
existence. She only knows that she has a flare for the
arts, especially working with glass. Then Shona loses her
artistic ability but doesn't know why. Logan Andrews, a Gineal troubleshooter has been assigned
the job of protecting Shona after she is attacked by a
mugger. What Logan doesn't anticipate is the attraction he
feels for Shona the longer he knows her. Can he protect her
when maybe he is the one she needs protection from? Logan also discovers that when he overuses his magic he has
seizures and blackouts. He cannot tell the Gineal council
about it as they may strip him of his duties. How can he
safely take care of Shona while battling these horrible
blackouts. The longer he protects Shona, the harder it
is. There's something more going on than either of them
can even begin to imagine. All I can say is WOW! What a book! I enjoyed every page,
every word. The more I read about the Gineal culture, the
more I want to know. Patti O'Shea's imagination is a
marvelous thing! I stand in awe! I just want more and
more!
SUMMARY
Glass artist Shona Blackwood has lost her ability to create,
but instead of panic, all she feels is apathy. Her
detachment is shaken when she narrowly avoids being mugged,
thanks to a timely rescue by a man who makes all her senses
come roaring to life. Logan Andrews is a magical
troubleshooter assigned to protect Shona from an unseen
enemy. Shona is unaware that magic actually exists and Logan
is under orders not to tell her, but it isn't long before he
finds his loyalty torn between his people and the passionate
woman he is guarding. He thought this would be a
straightforward job, but Logan quickly realizes that in an
edgy contest between magic and passion, love is destined to win.
