Rina Calhoun is working on a grant to honor the memory of her fatally wounded uncle. He too was a film journalist, just as she is now. Going to Africa would get her to where he was, but in order to do so, she has got to impress the board with her X-treme documentaries first. Going for the water sports, she starts filming John Cashman, "Cash", as friends know him. He is so extremely fine! And his surfing is what's going to get her documentary noticed, and give Rina her big chance.

Oops! There is a slight oversight when Rina's crew forgets to get the film release signed. It shouldn't have been a big deal, except signing the release is the last thing that Cash is going to do. This extreme sportsman has an explosively delicate secret, but since he won't be seeing Rina anymore, it shouldn't be a big deal to love and leave her with no release or film to show.

Rina's chances for the grant are ruined, and she got played by the sexy surfer to boot. But who's playing whom? Rina turns out to be the niece of Cash's admiral. Cash is actually a Navy SEAL who had been working undercover as a surfer. Things are just a bit uncomfortable when Rina shows up to film the extreme Navy SEALS. Cash can't ruin it twice, especially since he is starting to fall for her, but what about his team? The last thing they want is to be on exposed on film. It's a "catch twenty -- two" for Cash. Somehow he has got to make everyone happy and not let the admiral / uncle know what the real deal is. Meanwhile, he has to keep Rina safe from the danger she doesn't even know she is in, much less the one she does know. Granted, the risks are steep, but who will win?

RISKING IT ALL, a Harlequin "Blaze" novel, is a fast paced romantic story. The sex appeal is great. Who wouldn't want a surfer SEAL. Cash has all of the makings of a hero, and Rina's luck -- or lack there of -- is so believable. The cast of characters is multifaceted, and the plot makes all the risks worth it. This is a great book to take out in the "Blazing" sun and be heated by passion.

SUMMARY

What is it about extreme surfer John “Cash” Cashman? Ambitious documentarian Rina Calhoun has filmed risk-taking sports enthusiasts before, but she's never made a private tape of one of these bad boys…. And it turns out the daring, hot movie version's got nothing on the real thing!

But Rina's X-treme documentary is turning into an X- asperating docudrama, since Cash won't sign her release form. No paper from him, no big break for her.

Cash wants to help the fiery little number behind the lens, but he can't because his secret life as a navy SEAL has him deep undercover. Yet as Rina stumbles into the line of fire, all bets are quickly off. He's risking everything to save her. But will it be enough?
