Mystery

Preparing calorie-conscious meals for the dieters of Woodstone, Connecticut, Gigi Fitzgerald knows a cheater when she sees one. And when murder is on the menu, she's ready to get the skinny on whodunit...

Business is looking up for Gigi's Gourmet De-Lite, thanks to her newest client, restaurant reviewer Martha Bernhardt. Martha has the clout to put Gigi's personal meal plans on everyone's lips. But instead of dropping a few pounds, Martha drops dead from a severe peanut allergy...right after eating one of Gigi's signature dishes.

When the distractingly debonair Detective Mertz identifies traces of peanut oil in Martha's last meal, Gigi suddenly finds her diet catering business on the chopping block. Now she'll have to track down who tampered with her recipe before her own goose is cooked.

Includes delicious--and healthy--recipes!

Re: Allergic To Death

I like mysteries and death by food sounds fascinating.
(Anna Speed 1:38pm August 18, 2012)

I love mysteries and I think that this book would be good.

My two favorite things: a good mystery and food! I love the sounds of the plots
of your novels and am very much looking forward to reading them!

(
Pamela Faye Howell 1:47pm August 18, 2012)

I've been on a real cozy kick lately. I started reading mysteries when I was kid because my mother did, then I graduated to a whole host of genres, but find myself needing to read msyteries, specifically cozies again. I enjoy the variety of hooks: bookstores, restaurants, coffee shops, candle making, needlecraft, B&Bs etc. I've requested both books mentioned from my library.
(
Anne Muller 1:55pm August 18, 2012)

Cozies are my favorite type of mysteries. We all need to eat so the food aspect sounds good (and will make you hungry, too, if you haven't eaten).
(
Michelle Fidler 1:56pm August 18, 2012)

Love cozies fun relaxing. And mix in food tum.
(
Rhonda Lomazow 2:04pm August 18, 2012)

Congrats on your two debuts! Love mysteries!

(
Linda Luinstra 3:23pm August 18, 2012)

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your posting, as well as your bio today. It drew me in completely, and I'm looking forward to reading your books. I thought that the artwork on Allergic to Death was great, and noticed you had your dog on the cover!! That was precious!! Your other book has a very cute cover as well. I'm sure both books are going to do great, since you have quite a way with words!! It's also nice to know of an author that lives in the same beautiful state as I do. We're about 3 hours apart, but you don't hear about authors who live in your state every day. Congratulations again on your books, and best of luck on your future endeavors.
(
Peggy Roberson 3:24pm August 18, 2012)

Peg:
Is that your little white dog, Reggie, sitting on the chair on your bookcover? How adorable!
(
Linda Luinstra 3:27pm August 18, 2012)

Congratulations on your publishing of two books. You have chosen excellent subjects.
Blessings,
Marjorie

Food and books are both weaknesses of mine. Allergic to Death sounds like a hoot.

Interesting mix for a mystery.
(

Sounds like a fun read, enjoyed your blog.
(
Sheila True 5:51pm August 18, 2012)

Yes, that is my dog Reg on the cover! He's in the book, too. He insisted on it. He sits right next to me when I write and is convinced he's half-written the book himself. But instead of royalties, he gets treats.
(
Peg Cochran 5:57pm August 18, 2012)

I can't wait to read it !
(
Gerry Sheets 6:09pm August 18, 2012)

I love it when there are recipes and a great story. My cats watch me write.

Both series look like wonderful new cozies. Look
forward to reading them & getting to meet Reg. :)
(
Stacie Amelotte 7:00pm August 18, 2012)

Peg, Your books are just the type of mystery that I like to change pace from those hard, brain twisting thrillers. I will be following both of your new series. Murder and food go together so well, but undies????? You may have a new insight on grabbing our attention.
(
Rosemary Simm 7:02pm August 18, 2012)

I read any that have mysteries. I like to figure out who done it and why.
(
Kai Wong 7:07pm August 18, 2012)

recipes? I love recipes! so much fun to make the foods featured in the books - or to knit the sweaters or shawls in the knitting mysteries!
(
Beth Fuller 7:32pm August 18, 2012)

I love mysteries. Thanks for the chance to win!!
(
Natasha Donohoo 7:41pm August 18, 2012)

The book description really caught my eye because the mode of death is peanuts. My son is severly food allergic so I always notice when it is part of a story.
(
Jennifer Beyer 8:02pm August 18, 2012)

I love cozies and these both sound like must reads!!
(
Kelli Jo Calvert 9:04pm August 18, 2012)

(
Shannon Scott 9:31pm August 18, 2012)

I've loved mysteries ever since my Mom introduced me to Nancy Drew as a child. Thanks so much for the contest to win a copy. Sounds like a good one. Putting it on my TBR list.

(

(
Tamsyn Takamiya 11:26pm August 18, 2012)

I have read only a few "domestic" mysteries, but I enjoyed them, and would like to read a few more. I'm a lousy cook, but I loved sewing until illness affected my right hand and arm into the back and shoulder and put a stop to that as well.
(
Sigrun Schulz 11:42pm August 18, 2012)

This book sounds like so much fun!
(
Jackie Stieghorst 11:49pm August 18, 2012)

Cozies are my fall back books when ever I need a break from
the YA, PR, UF. They tend to clear my mind much the way
sherbet does your palate.
(
Lisa Richards 12:25pm August 19, 2012)

I love a good mystery but I too can do without the blood and gore. I am looking foward to reading one of your books.
(
Kathleen Yohanna 2:44am August 19, 2012)

Just fabulous!! I would love to read ALLERGIC TO DEATH thank you.
(
Mary Preston 4:31am August 19, 2012)

These stories explore the human side of the mystery without focusing on the police procedural or the mind of the killer... they are an antidote to the depressing grim realities of crime. They are also positive as they show people working together and getting on with their lives. Best of luck with your books.
(
Clare O'Beara 6:45am August 19, 2012)

Your book sounds like the perfect recipe for murder and mystery.
Delectable results in the end, I hope =)
(
Samantha King 7:22am August 19, 2012)

Thank you for the opportunity to win.
(
Cheryl Stillwell 9:18am August 19, 2012)

Have much in common with you. From CT but have kins in Paris, TN and "Bailee" was my beloved Maltese that passed after 14 years of love and devotion. And I am married to an Italian that loves to cook. Perfect combo. Keep writing,
Pat Pascale

(
Felicia Ciaudelli 7:11am August 20, 2012)

Your books sounds like a fun read. I have an allergy to peanuts so will be
interested in seeing how you deal with food allergies.
(
Joy Isley 2:29pm August 20, 2012)

I'm looking forward to your books---Allergic to Death should be fun since I've had count my calories for years---and cozies are just plain fun.
