Elizabeth Holcombe
At age ten, after reading Harriet the Spy, Elizabeth
Holcombe began her writing career. She spent more than a
score honing her craft and taking more wayward paths than a
bee in a spring meadow. She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Art History
at Virginia Commonwealth
University in Richmond. She has taught elementary school
and adult education courses in Minnesota, then worked as
museum registrar at the Flint Institute of Arts in
Michigan. After the birth of her son she gave serious
consideration to penning book-length fiction. She joined
Washington Romance Writers, organized two seminars on
romance for The Smithsonian Associates, and became
President of WRW. Heaven and the Heather was a
finalist in
WRW's Marlene contest. It is her first novel. She lives in
Falls Church, Virginia with her husband and son.
