Xina Marie Uhl
Author Xina Marie Uhl lives in sunny Southern California
with her husband, daughter, and assorted furry and scaly
pets. The setting of her first novel NECROPOLIS has been
heavily influenced by her interest in Ancient History, in
which she is currently pursuing a Ph.D. Her research and
teaching interests include the development of Western
civilization and the history of the Ancient Mediterranean
including special topics such as the history of Rome, Early
Christianity, and travel. Xina's early life was spent in Phoenix, Arizona. During her
high school years her family moved to the San Carlos Apache
Reservation briefly, and then into the adjoining small
copper mining town of Globe, Arizona where she met longtime
friend and fellow writer Cheryl Dyson. Together, they
created XC Publishing - www.xcpublishing.com, a royalty-
paying electronic publishing company, in 2000. XC
Publishing has published eight original novels sold in
electronic (ebook) format, and currently publishes three
email newsletters with a combined subscription of nearly
2,000 readers http://www.xcpublishing.com/wompage.html. Xina is a member of the American Historical Association,
the Association of Ancient Historians, and the Science
Fiction Writers Workshop. She is available for book
signings, interviews, and presentations relating to her
novel NECROPOLIS. Topics of past or scheduled presentations
include: "Ancient Fiction Groupies" and "History of
Graveyards".
