Booker T. Huffman

Booker T. Huffman

Booker T made his pro wrestling debut in 1989. Booker T was a part of probably one of the greatest tag teams in WCW history. He formed a tag team with his brother, Stevie Ray and they were called "Harlem Heat". Harlem Heat were a former 10 times WCW Tag team champions, which is truly remarkable. On December 8, 1994 is where they "broke the ice" and won their first WCW Tag team titles by defeating Buff Bagwell and the Patriot who were known as "Stars and Stripes". From then on, they won and lost the titles back and forth. After a few title reigns, Harlem Heat then got Sensational Sherri as their manager and she helped them win a lot of matches.

In 1997, Booker T turned face and on December 29, 1997, Booker T won his first singles title by defeating Disco Inferno, but that didn't last long before he lost it. Booker T ended up winning the Television title six different time while his tag team partner, Stevie Ray was on and off WCW shows. Stevie Ray later joined the nWo and that didn't set too well with Booker T but they still managed to have a "not bad" relationship. Later on, Booker T and his brother Stevie Ray joined forces once again and on September 12, 1999, they won their 8th tag team championship. After they lost their 10th WCW tag team titles, they kind of parted ways.

At the Bash at the Beach PPV on July 9, 2000, which I might add was a a very controversial WCW night (Hogan/Russo shoot), Booker T defeated Jeff Jarrett to win the WCW World Heavyweight title, but a month later, he drops the title to Kevin Nash. On October 2, 2000, Booker T was already at his 3rd WCW world title reign. On November 27, he loses it to Scott Steiner. On March 18, 2001, Nooker T defeated Rick Steiner to win the U.S. title. A week later (March 26), WCW was sold to the WWF and Booker T faced Scott Steiner in a title vs title match, where Booker T won his 4th WCW World title.

At the King of the Ring PPV in 2001, Booker T attacks Steve Austin in the main event match and left. On July 2nd, 2001, Booker T put his WCW title on the line against Buff Bagwell on Raw in the first ever WCW match on WWF Television.
