Serenity Woods

I live in New Zealand, in the sub tropical paradise called the Bay of Islands. Also known as the 'winterless north', the Northland is renowned for its kiwifruit, mandarins, and lemons, for its wonderful coffee, and for its friendly people and amazing scenery. It's the setting for several of my romance stories, including White-Hot Christmas, a full-length erotic romance due out at the end of 2011.

I write romance. Well, actually that's kind of like the last station on the railway line - there were lots of stops before that. I wrote a children's thriller, an historical, a timeslip, a chick-flick, a YA sci-fi, an epic fantasy, and a psychological thriller before I turned to romance. They will all remain safely in the bottom drawer; except, maybe, for the fantasy, which may get dusted off one day. It's been a long road, but I've learned so much with every book - how to plot, how to create believable characters (hopefully), and how important it is to inject emotion into the story, no matter what genre you write in.

But now I've turned to romance, which is pretty sensible really, considering most of my stories possessed romantic elements. I've now written eight full-length (or category-length) romance novels and seven novellas since September 2010. Under the name Serenity Woods, I've been published with Noble Romance and Samhain Publishing, as well as My Weekly Pocket Novels, and White-Hot Christmas comes out with Samhain at the end of the year. With my new publisher: Entangled Publishing, I'm writing under my real name, Faye Robertson. You can read about all my stories in the "Books" link above.

By day I work as a PA to four deputy principals at the local high school, where my wonderful, supportive husband is also Head of History. My teenage son attends there, and my two best friends are also teachers there. We spend most lunchtimes drinking trim lattes at the local cafe. New Zealand is a fantastic place to live.
