Kira Coplin is a seasoned writer, filmmaker, and celebrity insider. Formerly on staff at the award-winning magazine Us Weekly , she is no stranger to the glamorous and oftentimes gritty world of Hollywood. Prior to joining Us Weekly , Coplin was the Editor-in-Chief of Scene Magazine , the premier news and entertainment publication for Chicago’s young professionals. In addition, Coplin worked alongside Academy Award–nominated producer David Weisman on the upcoming documentary Edie:Girl on Fire. Coplin, who served as an associate producer, also appears in the film speaking as an expert on Edie Sedgwick and celebutante culture. In addition, Kira Coplin was a contributor to Chronicle Books' 2006 release of the same name, Edie: Girl on Fire. Coplin started her career as a writer for the New York Post and has contributed to CosmoGIRL!,OK, City Magazine, Zink, and Desert Living, among others.
