Carlos H. Schenck
Carlos H. Schenck, M.D. has been a faculty member of the Minnesota Regional Sleep Disorders Center, Hennepin County Medical Center and University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis since 1982. He has published many articles in medical journals and books, and has lectured extensively at universities and at professional conferences around the world. Dr. Schenck is Co-Chairman of the Committee on Parasomnias for the revision of the International Classification of Sleep Disorders (the "diagnostic bible" for sleep disorders), which will be published in 2004, under the sponsorship of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Schenck has often presented and explained parasomnias for the media, such as for CNN several times, the New York Times several times, National Geographic magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek magazine, Readers Digest, the Oprah show and other national television programs, and for various international publications.
