Carol Grever
Teacher, writer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, mother,
master gardener, canoeist, friend—lover of life, earth,
cats, and other people—these are some of the facets of
Carol Grever. Her slogan for living comes from A Course In
Miracles, "All your past except its beauty is gone, and
nothing is left but a blessing." Carol was co-owner of an international staffing firm for 23
years following a teaching career in college-level English
literature and writing. Born in Oklahoma, she is now
a “near-native” of Colorado who loves the mountains and
outdoor activities. She has chaired the boards of the
Boulder Chamber of Commerce, Naropa University, the Private
Industry Council, and the Economic Futures Panel, and is a
past president of Boulder Rotary. She has sat on many non-profit boards and has received
numerous community honors, including Colorado’s Business
and Professional Women’s Woman of the Year, the Colorado
Community Service Award, Entrepreneur of Distinction, the
YWCA Hall of Fame for Corporate Leadership, and the Boulder
Business Pacesetter and Business Hall of Fame Awards. My Husband Is Gay is her first non-fiction book. She lives
and writes in Boulder, Colorado.
