Ally Jarret has longed to be a wildlife photographer forever, but devotion to her grandmother has kept her close to home. When her grandmother dies, Ally inherits a sizeable fortune and a personal assistant, nerd extraordinaire Mitchell Caruthers.

Bodyguard PI Mitchell chafes at the geek persona he's forced to assume in order to stay close to Ally, but he's willing to do it in order to protect her from a sleazy uncle. When Ally high-tails it off to Porcupine, Alaska, to begin her career, Mitch is right behind, much to her disgust. When a midnight refrigerator raid treats them to a "boinkathon" between Betsy and Clyde, Ally and Mitch begin to see one another in a different light. It's the arrival of Ally's uncle that completely destroys the geek persona, when he and several of the townspeople are forced to snowmobile to the rescue.
