I can not help but love Graves! I mean, he has a cat so how much of a monster can he truly be? His history is slowly revealed and there are things I still have questions about but oh my, is his story ever intriguing! Kierse took a little longer for me to warm up to as we initially see her as a gifted thief, but not the heart she has for her friends. I love the bond she has with Ethan and Gen! As we start to see glimpses of her past, her initial hardness starts to make sense as she has had one heck of a rough time. Her strength and will to survive are amazing!

THE WREN IN THE HOLLY LIBRARY is the first book in The Oak and Holly Cycle and wow, what a phenomenal start! There is so much to love in this book as we see friendships and loyalty surviving in a world where monsters and cruelty are the norm. K.A. Linde crafts an engaging world combining urban fantasy and mythology full of fascinating and morally grey characters.
