The hero and heroine are both damaged by the evil that struck them as children and only Ms. Feehan has the storytelling ability to bring them together, have them work together, see each other as they are and find happiness. Other fan-favorite characters from the past Leopard series books join in on the action and danger while adding in some touching and emotional moments. Though thought to be very bad guys, these leopards have joined together to fight the evil that destroyed – and continues to destroy – many lives. As a note of caution, there are some tough-to-read moments as the author takes readers through this couple’s early lives and other past events. Keep in mind that those actions, though not pleasant to read and could be considered triggers, made them who they are – perfect for one another and strong determined people – or rather leopards. A fantastic read that will leave, as they always do, readers wanting more.
