Yvgeny Breznik is the CEO of a large corporation headquartered in New York. You would think that would be enough of the many problems he has to deal with, but it is only a small bit that adds to his headaches. He is trying to figure out what to do with the parade of F.B.I. agents that are applying for a job at the company, his crazy aunt, berserker cousin and the onsite medic, Samantha Dubets, that is driving him crazy. He is learning all about the SINNER’S SACRIFICE and yes, he is very much the sinner especially when it comes to what he wants to do with Sam.
Boredom does set in when you are around 800 years old, so Yvgeny needs to keep his mind and body active. But when everything breaks loose his main thought is protecting his heart and Sam is very quickly turning into just that for him. Too bad others of his kind find out that she just might be the answer to their medical dilemma, and he is forced to face his heart’s desire. Can he be selfish, or must he look to his people’s future?
SINNER’S SACRIFICE is at times hilarious, other times poignant and even more important – it is a fantastic read! We met Yvgeny and Samantha in author Julie Rowe’s SINNER'S SECRET and many readers were looking forward to his story. You will not be disappointed in any way.
Sam is uncertain of Yvgeny’s interest, unable to comprehend why he saved her and helped her. Right now, she is putting herself in danger by trying to find out what has been happening to a few of the prostitutes she has befriended. As a medic she is known for giving out free supplies that these women need. Watching her be herself and him trying to understand her while dealing with the “normal” problems he has to face adds quite a bit of angst and headshaking of the readers.
Yvgeny, just for the fun of it, decides to hire the agent, Brian Stettler, as his administrative assistant just for the fun of it. Brian adds a bit of comic relief as he learns more about the world he has been assigned to investigate. But learning that vampires exist (though this family and others like them feel insulted by calling them vampires) gives him a few thoughts – such as how he can tell his FBI bosses what he is really seeing without getting tossed into a nuthouse. Baz and Nika from SINNER'S SECRET are there adding more action and drama as well as Baz’s mother – who is a force to fear but when she tries to cajole Sam into cooperating, she finds herself facing someone fearless.
If you want a different type of vampire story filled with danger, intrigue, some laughter (you won’t be able to stop yourself) and a steamy romance between two very strong-willed people then you need to get your hands on SINNER’S SACRIFICE. Sit back and enjoy it all!
Yvgeny Breznik, the CEO of a large corporation in New York City, has a laundry list of problems. A micro-managing aunt, a cousin who doesn't know the meaning of the word restraint, and a new employee who occupies far too much of his attention. Samantha Dubets is his onsite medic, and she doesn't know when to stop trying to protect the city's most vulnerable citizens from their own mistakes. It's all he can do to keep her out of trouble and his hands off her.
Oh, and he's an eight-hundred-year-old vampire. One of less than two hundred in the entire world. Over the years, fewer and fewer people have been born with the genetic quirk necessary to become one, which means vampires are on the brink of extinction and desperate to enlarge their numbers.
Samantha's blood reveals that she has the best chance of becoming a vampire of any human in a couple centuries. As a result, old alliances, treaties, and promises are tossed aside for the chance to take her. Other vampires want her to have children, as many as possible, then change her. But none of them are going to ask nicely. Yvgeny isn't going to allow any of them to touch her because she belongs to him.
