B.J. Daniels has an entire series of books revolving around
the Caldwell's and each one showcases another cousin in
this amazing family. REUNION AT CARDWELL RANCH is number
five in the Caldwell Cousins series, but if we are very
lucky it won't be the
last.
Laramie Cardwell was no one's fool. He and his brothers
were partners in a successful chain of barbeque restaurants
—the Texas Boys Barbeque—a veritable empire of delicious
ribs. He ran the business end and had just lately decided
to spend more time in Montana near his family and their
ranches. The brothers are all settled now with their
significant others, and Laramie was the only foot loose
bachelor left of the Cardwell brothers.
So why does this smart guy seem to have his head in a fog
around Obsidian "Sid" Forester, an artist of sorts who has
single-handedly turned Laramie into what outwardly looks
like an idiot.
Sid is almost definitely the car burglar who visited
Laramie's house but left empty handed. What was she looking
for, why was she still around, and the biggest question why
was he giving her such a wide berth. It wasn't that he was
looking to give her rope to hang herself. No it was the
strong attraction to a stranger who very well appears to be
a thief.
Well it looks like Sid has bitten off more than she can
chew in this latest plot to retrieve a piece of artwork.
Question is why is she so determined to get possession of a
painting that just might be a forgery.
Halfway into this story B.J. Daniels still has you
guessing. Little clues are popping up at very random
moments. The list of suspicious characters grows with each
page, but take it from me REUNION AT CARDWELL RANCH is going
to keep you wondering till the very end. And that's what
B.J. Daniels planned for one of her most well plotted
stories to date.
The last of his clan to come home to Big Sky, Montana, Laramie Cardwell wasn't planning to spend the holidays chasing an elusive cat burglar. He's stunned to discover that the masked, black-clad figure he tackles to the snowy ground is a woman. After a distracting and sizzling kiss, she flees Laramie, who's knocked senseless by the culprit. Even though he manages to hold on to the stash in the melee, the sexy thief single-handedly steals Laramie's heart! Now he'll move any mountain to capture the mystery woman whose kiss still smolders on his lips.
