Gabi Preston has always been a people pleaser, slowly losing
herself beneath her parents expectations. Born so that she
could save the life of her older brother, Derrick, Gabi has
never forgiven herself for failing, and has tried to fill the
void that has been left with his death by being quiet and
perfect. But enough is enough. Dropping out of law school and
swapping homes with a stranger at Christmas is completely out
of character for Gabi, but that is exactly what she wants. And
the picture perfect town of Twilight, Texas is just what she
needs to figure out where her life is going. Change is what
she is looking for. What Gabi doesn't expect is a yurt for her
accommodation, next door to a completely unsuitable but
extremely sexy farmer who melts her heart with a glance.
Joe Cheek has always found it hard to stay in one place for
long and he expects this Christmas to be no different. Having
returned to help with the farm until his Gramps is feeling
better, he doesn't want any complications like the beautiful
stranger sleeping in his sister's home. Believing that
relationships are not for him, having gone through so
much in the past, Joe knows that he should stay away from
Gabi. But as their connection deepens and passion flares to
life, Joe and Gabi cannot resist each other, even if it cannot
last. With the holidays almost over, an ex-wife back in town,
and plenty of doubt on both parts, will Gabi and Joe give up
on each other before they truly begin?
I'LL BE HOME FOR CHRISTMAS by Lori Wilde is a magical
Christmas tale that had me smiling and tearful, and definitely
melted my heart. Gabi has really suffered because when she
lost her brother, she also lost her parents who became
obsessed with their work and ignored her most of her life.
Watching her find her confidence and realise what she wants
from her life was truly enjoyable. Joe is an amazing character
full of cheeky charm, with strong ethics and complete love for
his family. Lori Wilde weaves an enchanting tale in I'LL BE
HOME FOR CHRISTMAS, through the beautiful town of Twilight,
and I completely fell in love with the residents. I highly
recommend it.
Christmas in Twilight, Texas, is all merriment and
mistletoe. The Cookie Club is whipping up their most festive
sweets, the townspeople are scrambling to get their holiday
shopping done, and Joe—a hometown guy with a restless
heart—is dreaming about the woman he wants to kiss most . . .
• . . And who happens to be staying at his sister's place
over the holidays, while Joe's sister is away. But Joe isn't
quite sure he wants to be a living Christmas present to
runaway law student Gabi Preston.
Joe thinks the sassy sweetheart he nicknames "Trouble" won't
inconvenience anything but his healthy sex drive. But when
he discovers the reasons Gabi escaped from her life, he
aches to give her everything she's never had. As the magic
of the season draws them together, the gift of love is the
only one worth giving…
