TAKEN written by Charlotte Stein is the first book I have
read by this author. This
is a hot and steamy romance that has a different writing
style that I am not use
to. TAKEN is a short story that does not take too much
time before you jump
right into the erotic parts, or at least it seems that
way. I am not saying that it is
a bad thing, because with a short story I'm sure there is
no wasting time. At first
I thought it might be too much, but at the end I am glad I
read it.
Rosie Callahan finds herself facing big trouble, as her
friend gets ready to
set the bookstore that they are in on fire. When all of a
sudden Rosie feels the
big arms of a man she can only describe as a wolf from his
dark features and
hairy beard grab her from behind and carries her
downstairs. She knows she
should be scared as he takes her and holds her handcuffed
downstairs. However,
instead Johann Weir intrigues her. He makes her feel ways
that she had never felt
before. She wants things from him in ways that have never
crossed her mind
before. But shouldn't she be frightened?
Over all, TAKEN is a must for those who desire the
stimulating aftermath
that this story can provide. TAKEN by Charlotte Stein is
part of her
Under The Skin collection and it will have you
wanting more.
It was just a prank I didn't want to be a part of. I never
meant to hurt anyone, least of all Johann Weir. You
wouldn't
know that he sells literature for a living. He has these
wild eyes—eyes that light something up in me—and he must
be
twice as big as I am, with strong, warm hands. Hands I try
not to imagine everywhere.
He scares me. And thrills me.
But now the deed is done, and I have to face the
consequences. He says he just wants to hold me here until
the police come, but it's been hours and I'm still here.
Chained to a pipe in his back room like a prisoner.
The only person I have to talk to is Johann, and I tell
him
dark, shameful secrets—secrets that involve the metal
around
my wrist and him standing over me. But I can't stop. I
need
him to know everything. I need him.
Johann has his own secrets—ones he wants to tell me too.
And
more than anything, I want to listen. And maybe, before he
sends me away, he'll punish me.
Just a little.
Just enough.
