Harper\'s whole life has been as a military brat. Harper
doesn\'t know what it\'s like to have girlfriends. All she
has ever known is being friends with the men who have been
under her father\'s authority. She and her father, or as
she has always called him Sir, just don\'t get a long at all.
All this is going to change now that Harper is going away to
college. Harper is beyond happy. She has been emailing
her roommate Bree. Once they finally met, Harper is
thrown into a completely new world. Bree teaches her how to
put on makeup, dress correctly for her age and of course to
get the attention of men.
Harper is really starting to enjoy this new life. Harper
and Bree head out to a party at Bree\'s brother's house.
The first guy that Harper meets is Chase, Bree\'s brother.
They don\'t hit it off at all. To Harper, Chase is nothing
but a skirt chaser. But yet, there is something that keeps
pulling her to him. Harper also meets Brandon. The
sparks fly.
Taking Chances, which one should she choose? Brandon is
everything she has always dreamed about. Chase is the
opposite. Both of them want Harper. Brandon is willing
to wait and let her make her own decision. Chase is a little
pushier.
Harper is more drawn to Brandon, but Chase keeps entering
her mind. Harper has to make a decision. She is going to
stay with Brandon. After Christmas break, Brandon stays a
with his family, Harper heads back to school. Without
Brandon around, Harper finds herself spending more time with
Chase. One thing leads to another and they end up in bed
together.
Harper is upset that she allowed this to happen, but also
very happy that it did. However, this leads to an unwanted
pregnancy and now Harper really doesn\'t know which way to
turn. Chase is thrilled, pledging his undying love to
Harper. Brandon takes it hard, but understand why she now
is going to be with Chase.
As thrilled as Harper is to be with Chase and awaiting the
birth of their child, she still can\'t get Brandon out of her
head. Along with the fact that she just has a feeling that
she can\'t trust Chase. An unfortunate event sends Harper
in a tail spin. Who will be able to pick up the pieces for
her?
TAKING CHANCES is the second book that I have read by Molly
McAdams. Almost everyone experiences first love. Molly
McAdams takes this story in a little different direction.
Molly has her main character experience loving two men.
Molly also lets you know that everyone in their life has to
take a chance sometimes. Whether you are a young adult or
older, you will love this book.
Eighteen year old Harper has grown up under her career
Marine of a father's thumb. Ready to live life her own way
and experience things she's only ever heard of from the
jarheads in her father's unit; she's on her way to college
at San Diego State University.
Thanks to her new roommate, Harper is introduced to a
world of parties, gorgeous guys, family and emotions. Some
she wasn't expecting yet, and others she never knew she was
missing.
She finds herself being torn in two as she quickly
falls in love with her boyfriend Brandon, and her
roommate's brother Chase. Covered in tattoos, known for
fighting in the Underground and ridiculously
muscled...they're exactly what she was always warned to
stay away from, but just what she needs. Despite their
dangerous looks and histories, both adore and would do
anything for Harper, including stepping back if it means
she's happy.
Her first year away is turning out to be near perfect,
but one weekend of giving in to heated passion will change
everything.
