Romance Paranormal | Paranormal

Two months of recovery at the Misos Colony has still not restored Gryphon to the man that he used to be. Once one of the most loved, honorable and trustworthy Argonauts, the torture he was forced to endure in the Underworld has left serious damage that seems beyond repair. Unable to shake the voice in his head pulling him back towards the darkness, he escapes the confines of the colony and stumbles upon Maelea in her own attempt to leave the colony behind. At first, circumstances force them to evade their pursuers together but Gryphon soon realizes that keeping Maelea close could be the key to holding the darkness at bay. Maelea has walked the earth for thousands of years determined to one day be welcomed into the safety of Olympus. As the result of a brief union between Zeus and Persephone, Maelea is the reminder that the god Hades is determined to exterminate from existence. Staying alive for thousands of years has taken a huge toll on Maelea and she prefers to not get emotionally invested in people or places. The philosophy that has kept her alive for so long forbids her to call the colony home and she carefully lays plans to extricate herself from it's temporary shelter to continue on her quest to be accepted by Zeus. Maelea soon finds herself on a journey accompanied by an unexpected Argonaut companion that threatens to find a place into her heart and challenge her master plan. The latest book in the Eternal Guardian series is truly a delightful read. Prepare yourself to be thrilled by incredibly hot warriors, strong heroines, a fabulous love story and diabolical villains that will leave you craving the next installment. The story of Gryphon and Maelea is at times heart wrenching as they are both so emotionally scarred by their past but readers will not be disappointed by the end of the book. I found myself blazing through this ENSLAVED, sorry to see it end. ENSLAVED and the Eternal Guardian series is a ride I recommend you take and I will be keeping Elisabeth Naughton on my must read list!
