Romance Series | Romance Suspense

Summer Wheeler, widow of the Eastern mob boss's son, lost her whole life 5 years ago. An attack from the mob left her husband dead and her little girl perished in a fire. Physically abused and tied up in the basement, Summer barely escaped with her own life, albeit with severe burns. Spending all her insurance money, she searches in Texas where it is rumored one of the men responsible for her misfortune is hiding. Determination keeps her riveted on having him apprehended by the law to serve justice. Broken down beside the back road, her savior is Travis Chance from the Bar-C Ranch.

Travis's reaction to Summer kicks his blood pounding in his veins. A single dad of 7 year old Jenna is known for saving lost souls and picking up strays. All but the actual town of Chance is owned by the Chance brothers who operate a huge ranch. Travis hiring Summer to help with his daughter and chores around the house will allow her to pay for car repairs while she uses Travis in furthering her search for "Hoss", the second man from the attack. Sexual attraction followed by mind blowing sex isn't far behind for Summer and Travis. Sabotage and little accidents begin happening at the ranch, possibly endangering lives. While Summer believes it is Hoss responsible, Travis, unaware of Summer's true intent, searches for the person he believes is after him. Will the truth come out before it damages the relationship that is blooming between them?

Linda Conrad has achieved the excitement and suspense again with another story in the series of the Chance family. Travis, the brother who takes responsibility for keeping the ranch running, is a soft hearted soul dedicated to helping others. This action packed tale is woven with emotion and heartbreak. I am anticipating more exciting creations from this author and will be the first in line to read them. I fervently hope she keeps this thrilling series going!
