These three authors join together to introduce hiheelia.com -- a website where magical shoes can change a woman's life. (Just ask Cinderella about the beauty and destiny of the right pair of shoes.)

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME by Lisa Cach -- Kelsey's landscaping business was fulfilling, but she couldn't help being jealous of her helper, a 56-year-old woman who was still happily stunned by the kisses of her husband. When would she find that magic in her life? Hopefully soon, because she finally has a date. Shopping online for clothes, she stumbles across a strange website, hiheelia.com. Days later, she's holding the most expensive and beautiful shoes she's ever owned -- pale green leather scattered with red silk roses. And when she puts on the shoes, Kelsey becomes someone stunning and sexy and charismatic. Men fall at her feet -- maybe not literally, but figuratively -- and Kelsey begins to see that the magic may be in the shoes, but it's also in her.

SO I DATED AN AXE MURDERER by Gemma Halliday -- Kya ordered the most ridiculously useless pair of shoes she'd ever seen -- red stilettos with a silver cap on the toe. Sparkling rhinestones. As if she could ever find a use for them. But oh, they were beautiful. And her life needed something. Something besides working behind a desk. When her co-workers mentioned they were going out, she asked to join them. Kya dragged out makeup, ripped a skirt she owned to make it sexier and slipped on those red dancing shoes. Stunned, she found herself dancing in ways she'd never imagined, moving her body in ways that drew eyes and hands. But especially, in the way that drew the attention of a modeling agent, who asked her to come by his office about some work. It seems her too-skinny form finally had a place it belonged. Her first assignment brought her in contact with a beautiful model, someone who would never be interested in dating the likes of her. And he was grieving the death of his previous girlfriend, who drowned in his pool. But Kya also found out the girl modeled for hiheelia.com, where she'd ordered the fabulous shoes, and Kya was starting to have strange visions about being held under water. Could Blake Stone -- her hot model and potential "someone" -- be a murderer?

AND THEY DANCED by Melanie Jackson -- Faith silently lusted after her sometimes dance partner and friend, Avel. He was beautiful and kind and everything she could wish for. But she couldn't seem to take their relationship past the friend level, and wasn't even sure he wanted to. She designed his website and cemented their friendship, but she wanted more. More. More. More. Then the shoes arrived at her door. Unordered, unwanted -- until she opened the box. Then Faith fell in love with pale green silk and mauve bows on an impossibly high, clear heel. When Avel asked her to dance with him in a competition when his partner couldn't make it, the situation seemed fated. Those magical shoes, a magical night -- but Faith wasn't sure she could pull it off. Latin dances were sexy, hot and although she'd had lessons in college, Avel was so good. She could never measure up. The shoes, though, seemed to have a different idea. Not only did she measure up, she reached inside herself and became the person she wanted to be when Avel held her. Surely steam trailed their dance-floor steps.

What a fun concept! And where can I order the shoes??? Oh yes, hiheelia.com. In a move that's been coming for a long time, books and Internet sales have intertwined. There really is a hiheelia.com (it became active April 1), and it offers sexy shoes aplenty. Smart marketing.

This is a good light read. The last story was a little weak, but all three show the power of bringing to light the parts of you that are hidden. We each have a little vamp in us -- and sometimes it should come out and take a spin in really hot shoes.
