Silas Duran is a hard-core businessman — complete with
chest pains, ulcers and a staunch belief that everyone
should be working the same eight-day workweek as he is.
But as he's flying over the Caribbean en route to an
emergency meeting, something goes wrong. Now Silas is
stranded...a reluctant tourist in an isolated paradise.
Hotel manager Hester Somerset has got Silas's number. Two
years ago, she walked out on her life without a backward
glance — trading in her coffee and extra-chewy antacids
for relaxation, white beaches and all-you-can-eat fresh
crab. But even as she draws Silas further into her sun-
drenched world, Hester avoids telling him about her past.
After all, she can hardly maintain her status as a bona
fide island girl when he discovers just how irresponsible
she really is....
