Don't miss the latest installment of this thrilling series!
Actually, this is my favorite part of the book, because it shows just how determined Jess becomes to finally put an end to Eric Spears reign of violence! I can't wait for Heinous to come out! (Cindy Reifel 11:33am March 31, 2014)
Vile, Book 8 0f Debra Webb's Faces of Evil series, is a riveting, thrilling, and worth every second!
Compelling Romantic Suspense always is expected in the Faces of Evil series but, in Vile, Debra Webb raises the bar. While investigating the case of a little girl left for her and the bizarre developments that ensue as a result, Jess Harris, the Deputy Chief Deputy of the Birmingham SPU Unit, remains vigilant about Eric Spears, the sociopathic serial killer obsessed with her. He is intent on destroying everyone Jess loves, including Chief of Police, Dan Burnett, the man she has loved for twenty years even though they have not been together during that time. He is also the father of their baby! By the end of Ruthless, you will be happily depleted but eager for the next book, Heinous. Yes, Vile is that good! (Marijane Diodati 11:55am March 31, 2014)
This is one of my favorite series Faces of Evil-VILE, Debra Webb; she makes you feel like you are on a roller coaster ride in each and every book in this series. Eric Spears aka: the Player is a very sick and evil person. If like suspense and romantic then you need to read VILE, you will not want to put it down. I can’t stand the anticipation until the next book to come out HEINOUS. (Gail Fuhlman 3:35pm March 31, 2014)
This is one of her best Faces of Evil books so far. If you haven't read them, now's a great time to start. Love, love, love this series!!!! (Vicki Hancock 5:54pm March 31, 2014)
Vile is Book 8 of the Faces of Evil series. It picks up where Book 7, Vicious, leaves off. Jess Harris is Deputy Chief and her boyfriend Dan is Chief of Police in Birmingham, Alabama. Jess is former FBI, and has been searching for Eric Spears, a serial killer who first eluded her while she was with the Bureau. Since the beginning Spears has been fighting back, taunting her and actively interfering in her life and career. He becomes more dangerous and clever with each installment. It is a hard task for an author to keep a villain operating at such a high level over a long series, so it is very much to Debra Webb’s credit that she has managed to increase his cunning to an almost exasperating level in this book.
Add in that Dan is the subject of a political intrigue designed to push him out of office and possibly into jail, a little girl found alone on the street, and that Jess is pregnant, and the stage is set for this potboiler of an adventure.
I could not stop reading this book. Webb keeps it fresh with a number of plot twists, and if I say any more I will be giving the story away (SPOILERS!!!!) Read this book – the drama and tension did not fade in this eighth book of the series, but continued to increase. I can’t wait to get started on the next book, Heinous, to see where it will take me (Thelma Banzhoff 7:44pm March 31, 2014)
