Angelina Radcliffe is the high-spirited young descendant of the Radcliffes of Radcliffe Manor. Things suddenly change when their young maid, bashful Juliette Rowe, inherits a great deal of money. Angelina hatches a plan to use Juliette’s wealth to create a new lifestyle for the two girls. They plunge headlong into a swirling world of London nightlife and nightclubs where rosy-shaded electric faux candles set a bawdy tone. They trade their boring suburban attire for the latest styles. They hobnob with the fashionable elite, and attract the attention of men such as that unscrupulous blue-eyed pirate with the black mustache, Mr. Charles Walsh, the “Honourable Charlie.” Try as she might, Angelina cannot get him out of her mind.
