THE LEGACY by Elle Kennedy is a love letter to her Off-Campus fans. This book is a series of short stories about the four couples that were featured in this series: Hannah and Garrett, Grace and Logan, Allie and Dean, and Sabrina and Tucker. As it says in the blurb, we get a proposal, a wedding, a surprise pregnancy, and a honeymoon. Readers who haven't read the entire Off-Campus series may find spoilers within this review, so proceed with caution!

Of all the stories, Grace and Logan’s story was my favorite. I just love their relationship and how dedicated they are to each other, especially Logan to Grace. It’s really just #relationshipgoals. The other stories were a lot of fun, as well, and there is the introduction of a new character, Alexander, that I think fans are really going to like. I love the idea of seeing all of these characters after their dreams have come true, and it makes me so happy to think they are still a part of each other’s lives on the regular. There was a scene when almost the entire hockey team was together again, and a HILARIOUS scene with coach Jensen that people will love, and Brenna and Jake were mentioned, so...fingers crossed we get more of them eventually.

However, as I had an issue with the way Sabrina’s pregnancy news was handled in the original series, the pregnancy in this book didn’t feel handled well, either. After the couple's road to really working on communication, I had a hard time believing that the heroine couldn’t find the right time to tell the hero for so long. That portion of the story was too contrived for me, and it really rang hollow. On the other hand, Garrett’s story (my favorite player from the original series) comes full circle in a way that was so very satisfying and made me so happy for him.

THE LEGACY is not a book to be read unless you have read the original Off-Campus series, as it’s four shorts featuring all of those couples. And I’ll say, if you like New Adult even a little bit, Elle Kennedy is the cream of the crop. So get on it!
