Brooke Cerise is a wolf shifter who has inherited her aunt's antique shop in Oregon. She has to run it for three years before she can sell out, so she has settled in but fate has more twists coming her way. A reindeer calf shows up on her property and the gorgeous but idiot detective Josh Wilding decides she is the suspect. A shipment arrives and it is one that has the DEA involved and to top it off, she is shot at, had her store is broken into and is being watched for more packages. She is starting to think there is no joy this holiday season. But things do look up because there is a wolf pack close by and she has caught the interest of a couple of shifters. Too bad the person who has caught hers is the irritating detective. . .
JOY TO THE WOLVES is a delightful Christmas-themed story filled with intrigue, danger and, of course, gorgeous (if a little irritating at first) shifters. I loved Brooke right away and was almost hopeful that Maverick would be her mate, but alas, Josh wins.
There is a lot that happens in JOY TO THE WOLVES that readers will be completely caught up in the lives of this couple and their friends that they will not want it to end. Terry Spear moves her readers from one scenario to the next so smoothly from the kidnapping of the reindeer, treasure hunts, antique lessons, classic cars and pack life, that before you know it the mysteries are solved and the happily ever after begins in earnest.
If you love shifters, mystery, intrigue, romance with some steamy moments, laughter, danger, and quite a bit of Christmas ambiance then you have to read JOY TO THE WOLVES!
As Christmas approaches, red wolf shifter Brooke Cerise unexpectedly inherits an antique shop in Portland, Oregon. But when a missing reindeer calf turns up on her property, she becomes embroiled in a kidnapping case and the primary suspect of far-too-intriguing shifter Detective Josh Wilding.
