Robin Jessop and David Mallory are excited to open the box
just delivered to Robin's antiquarian bookshop. They had the
package shipped to them after their last adventure in
Switzerland searching for the Knights Templar treasure. They
narrowly escaped death, being followed and attacked by the
Dominican order from Italy, who is after the same treasure.
Upon opening the wooden chest, that did contain a booby trap
in the lid, Robin and David find a piece of vellum with an
encrypted message that would need to be decoded if they were
to find the treasure. The decoding is not a simple task, but
that does not deter Robin or David.
Meanwhile the Dominican order is very much aware of the
package Robin received. Silvio Vitale hires a private eye to
watch the bookshop and report all deliveries. He also has
the private eye bug Robin's upstairs apartment behind the
bookshop so he can listen to the progress being made on
finding the location of the Templar treasure. After many
hours of internet research and the use of a few decryption
programs, Robin and David crack the code, write out the
message in Latin, then translate the Latin into almost
understandable English. Much of the message makes no sense,
but it does give them a direction in which to head. Can they
get to the treasure before the Dominicans?
If you're a history buff, you'll certainly get a good lesson
in medieval history, as well as lessons in geography, art
and architecture in THE TEMPLAR BROTHERHOOD. James Becker
continues his adventure series, The Lost
Treasure of the Templars, and gives us a whirlwind trip
from Dartmouth, England into northern Scotland in search of
this treasure. Robin and David are strong, intelligent
characters who work well together to figure out the cryptic
puzzle left by the Knights Templar over seven hundred years
ago. The Dominicans are always just a step behind, but Robin
and David are undaunted by their pursuit. The plot moves at
breakneck speed and takes several twists and turns that are
not anticipated, adding another dimension of adventure to
the story. If you're a Dan Brown fan or just love this
genre, you'll enjoy THE TEMPLAR BROTHERHOOD as well!
James Becker, New York Times bestselling author of

discover that the legendary “treasure” they have been
searching for may not be what they thought. Rather than gold
or precious jewels, their long-sought prize may, in fact, be
something far more valuable...
Information.
For the Templar Knights were the original inventors of
international trade. And not all of it was in money. Lands,
titles, the fates of entire noble houses were placed in
their keeping. The records of such transactions, though
centuries old, may possibly yield the greatest wealth in the
world. But hunting for such an archive places Jessop and
Mallory in the cross hairs of Europe's most powerful families...
