Sean "Metal" O'Brien is a former SEAL medic from a family

911 attack and that lead him to join the Navy but the
protector is part of his DNA. When a gorgeous, bleeding
woman falls into his arms he does what instincts tells
him.

will heal her, tend her and keep her safe ... and well ...
just
keep her.
Felicity Ward is no stranger to secrets she was raised in
the Witness Protection Program, everything about her is a
lie. She has no way of knowing that a secret she doesn't
know she is keeping could be the cause for the bad guys
chasing her, but worse this secret could possibly lead to
a
nuclear war. She is use to being on her own but one look
at
the tough as nails, sexy warrior and she starts to believe
that maybe ... just maybe she didn't have to stay alone
forever.
MIDNIGHT PROMISES is a witty, sexy, fast paced read.
Author
Lisa Marie Rice continues her Midnight series with this
one
and brings the reader into a lot of action and drama that
won't let you put the book down. I like to revisit with
other members of a series and Ms. Rice brings back the
other members of Alpha Security International and their
wives/lovers to help Felicity. While Metal has healing and
protection moves that are strong and sexy and tender all
rolled into one. It is Felicity who has some very
intriguing computer moves ... one example of her abilities
is
she hacks into airport security to cause chaos so she can
escape an attempted abduction. She is brilliant and knows
a
good thing when she sees Metal. Getting this couple
together leads to a few cold showers for Metal and later
some enjoyable enlightenment for Felicity.
If you haven't read all of Ms. Rice's Midnight books,
don't
worry this is a stand alone and will give you enough
information on the characters to peak your interest and
find yourself wanting more. I am a sucker for love at
first
sight, which this is, and the bonds formed by former
military guys who take what they have learned and use it
to
help others. I have this one on my TRA shelf and can't
wait
to see what else Ms. Rice comes up with.
