Romance Paranormal

Colleen Playfair is heading for Scotland for the first time in her life. Having inherited an estate there she is ready for a change and a challenge ... ready to touch her roots. She only planned to visit the estate in the highlands, make sure everything is running smoothly, but she can live with finding her mate ... her very own HERO OF A HIGHLAND WOLF.

Grant MacQuarrie and his clan have been running Farraige Castle for centuries, and the last thing he needs is a meddling American trying to change the way things have always been. He comes up with a simple plan ... make everything so uncomfortable that she will be unable to stay. Little does he know that his first sight of the comely lass would be his undoing. She's not what he expects and despite his misguided beliefs she is just what he wants and needs.

HERO OF A HIGHLAND WOLF is hallmark Terry Spear, filled with complex characters, sexy shifters and a phenomenal love story. It was great that Colleen came into the situation with her eyes wide open and ready to fight for herself. Though she did learn a few home truths about her family that she hadn't expected, it only strengthened her. I really enjoyed seeing Grant, his brothers and men being at a loss when she doesn't react as they expect and soon are on her side making her one of the pack. There is a lot of funny scenes with her girlfriend and a lot of talk of kilts and what is and isn't worn under them.

I believe that any reader who wants to enjoy an action packed, sizzling romance will enjoy HERO OF A HIGHLAND WOLF ... the shifter aspect isn't overblown, in fact until they shifted to fight at one point I had forgotten it was a paranormal. It is a fantastic love story plain and simple and one I plan to put in my keeper shelf.

SUMMARY

She's ready for change... Colleen Playfair has never been to Scotland, but when she discovers she must spend a year and a day overseas learning to manage her newly inherited estate, she's ready for the challenge. She even has some ideas for improvements-if she can get past the sexy werewolf who seems convinced he's the one in charge.

But he's digging in his claws... Grant MacQuarrie and his clan have been managing Farraige Castle for three centuries. The last thing he wants is a meddling American heiress trying to change the way things have always been done. He's more than willing to fight the she-wolf every step of the way, using every tool at his disposal. And if that means taking the lass to bed, well...all the better.

Locked in a battle of wills, caught in an attraction they can't escape, Colleen and Grant must find a way to work together...or face losing it all.
