What would happen if the global economy collapsed, leaving only a few elite people in charge?

A new world order has been ushered in and everyone is required to take a microchip in order to buy or sell goods. Teacher Toni Vickery, a biker named Glick, a grandmother, Emma Jackson, and her grandson T.J., Congresswoman Marlene Carson, and an electrical mechanic named John Connor all come from very different walks of life but are faced with the same choice: take the microchip or they will starve. Some will choose to take the chip while others follow a different path. How will they survive and what will they learn about the new world evolving around them?

MICROCHIP THE AGENDA IS NOW is sure to evoke strong reactions in the reader. Some will find it more an expanded Tea Party manifesto whereas others may find the content further validates their own beliefs. Quite honestly, I didn't know whether to reach for my tinfoil hat or start googling the information included throughout the book. In fact, the nonfiction material was far more entertaining and interesting than the characters themselves, whether one believes or disbelieves in the conclusions of Chey Barnes.

In fact, after finishing MICROCHIP THE AGENDA IS NOW, I would be far more likely to read further nonfiction books by Chey Barnes than I would fiction books. Her information is presented very thoroughly and she ties her theories together quite nicely. However, the characters themselves fell a bit flat for me. Other than Pastor Bloom, the motivations behind each character's refusal were a bit too vague for me to fully understand their opposition to the microchip.

MICROCHIP THE AGENDA IS NOW is a book that will have both rave reviewers and naysayers , depending on where one falls on the political spectrum. I must admit that I found some new information within the storyline, including that of the belief in transhumanism and additional information about GMO food. MICROCHIP THE AGENDA IS NOW is an interesting albeit very strange tale.
