Jodi Walters tries to help the magical fit into this world,
and she is excellent at managing to find them work in
Hollywood. She bridges the gap between the worlds which
makes her the go to girl for any magical problem.
Unfortunately, a problem comes her way that she wants no
part in fixing, but the Fairy Tale Stalker is giving them
bad publicity and she is the fixer. Against her better
judgment, she goes to see Bluebeard. After all, the Fairy
Tale Stalker is mimicking his life, and she can not only
gain insight from him, but also ascertain his whereabouts
for the incidents. However, Jodi did not count on finding
him so attractive nor discovering a much deeper dilemma.
Will Jodi find the Fairy Tale Stalker before he escalates
to killing? Will she figure out a way to break the curse
before she becomes the next victim?
Bluebeard hates what his life has become. He was once a
sought after prince, but too many wives murdered by his
hand has him laying low. He drowns out the memories of the
past and pushes people away by overindulging in alcohol,
not bathing, and refusing to talk to women. Checking into
rehab seems to be the perfect solution to his problems with
the added benefit of not having to deal with the public.
However, Jodi storms into his life with information about
another man going through the horrible curse that he has
lived and is still living. Unfortunately, she awakens
something in Blue and she has become a target. If they
cannot find a way to break the cycle, she will die like all
the others. Will Bluebeard remember something from his
past that will help? Or is he doomed to live forever
hurting those he cares about?
Kristine Grayson brews an intoxicating potion flavoring it
with the bitterness of curses and deceit, tempering it with
the sweetness of hope and love, and topping it off with a
sprinkling of fairy dust. She addicts us with the first
spicy sip, plies us with the delectable nectar to keep us
hooked, and leaves us groveling for more of her wildly
imaginative tales. Jodi and Blue have a dangerous web to
untangle, but they are not alone. There are numerous cameos
from other famous folks, and the help comes from some
rather unexpected places. I am caught up in the fairytale
craze, and I absolutely adore Ms. Grayson's adaptations.
CHARMING BLUE is a marvelous story that will keep you glued
to the pages wondering what else the original tales left
out. I am certainly clearing out a place on my keeper
shelf for Ms. Grayson's creative fairytale series.
