If you love Sandra Hill's books you are sure to love this
book. THE OUTLAW VIKING is the second story in her Viking
series. In this book we get to meet the berserker Selik and
Dr. Rain Jordan. Selik is the friend of the hero of the
first book in this series. While on a visit to the Viking
museum with her mother Rain recognizes a man in a painting
as the one who has stars in her dreams. When she returns on
her own to the museum to investigate Rain is pulled back in
time into a battle where Selik just happens to be. Can Rain
explain it all to Selik and gain not only his trust but
also his love?
Once again I was pulled into this authors wondrous world of
Vikings and romance. Rain is such a feisty woman and does
just about everything her way. She loves with all her heart
but will not stay where she thinks she is not loved more
than the thought of revenge. Selik is a warrior who can
control and defeat all except one woman, the woman whom he
loves but he swore revenge because of a woman he loved once
before. Watching Selik deal with his newfound feelings was
a nice read. The sparks are there between Rain and Selik
from the start and watching them turn into love was a
wonderful experience.
I enjoyed rereading this new and updated version of this
book. I was taken on a wonderful ride into the past and
enjoyed revisiting great characters. Not only do we get a
romance but we are also treated to the great humor this
author has which include amongst many other things the
magical Viking S-spot to Selik's servant Ubbi who thinks
Rain is an Angel. This book and series has stood the test
of time and is still an enjoyable read today.
As tall and striking as the Valkyries of legend, Dr. Rain
Jordan is proud of her Norse ancestors despite their warlike
ways. But she can't believe her eyes when a blow to her head
transports her to a nightmarish battlefield of yore—and
there standing before her is the barbarian of her dreams.
A wild-eyed berserker, Selik can slay a dozen Saxons
with a single swing of his deadly sword—yet he can't control
a saucy wench from the future. In his eyes, Rain is a
prisoner and he'd dearly love to avail himself of her
medical skills—not to mention her considerable knowledge of
the male anatomy. But the infuriating woman has ideas of her
own. If Selik isn't careful, the stunning siren might very
well capture his savage heart and make a warrior of love out
of . . . The Outlaw Viking
