Contemporary Chick Lit

The heart-warming sequel to BEACH STREET KNITTING SOCIETY AND YARN CLUB that knits together the feel-good factor of Marian Keyes, the humour of Jilly Cooper and the heart of Katie Fforde.

Slip one …
A year after her husband’s death, Jo Mackenzie is finally starting to get the hang of being a single parent.

Knit two together …
The boys are thriving in their new seaside home, the wool shop is starting to do well and despite two weddings, an in-school knitting project and Trevor the Wonder Dog coming to stay, she’s just about keeping her head above water.

Cast off …

But boys, babies and best friends certainly make life a lot more interesting. Can Jo cope when things get really complicated? Because if knitting truly does keep you sane when your life starts to unravel then it looks like Jo is going to need much bigger needles.

Re: Needles And Pearls

Sounds like and interesting set of books.
Can't knit worth a darn, but that won't
stop me from reading about it.

I can't knit but wish I could. I still like books about yarns and knitting and quiltmaking . Can't wait to read your books.

I don't know how people who retire are bored. I have a list of thinkgs I want to learn to do when I can retire, including knitting and crocheting. For now, I just enjoy the books.

I'm trying to get to the interview with Gil, but I keep coming back to this page.

Sounds great. I started knitting again on my work lunch hours. Very relaxing and it keeps my hands occupied so I don't eat!

I love to knit. I've recently been making baby blankets for my future grandchildren.

I love to crochet and sew, but never could get the hang of knitting... my Mom fills that gap.

I love both knitting and crochet and I do both during the winter months.

I wish I could knit. There are a lot of sweaters I would love to make. Maybe when I retire I can learn.
