Mystery Hard Boiled

"Two guys with guts and a go-to-hell-with-you-Jack regard for consequences have about three chances in ten of pulling off a big, well-planned smash-and-grab. If one of them can shoot like me . . . the odds are a damn sight better."

In the course of his line of business, the man who calls himself Roy Martin has robbed a bank in Phoenix, killed three men, and caught a bullet in his arm. Safety--and one half of $178,000--awaits him on the other side of the country. All that separates "Martin" from his destination are two thousand treacherous miles and three lethal temptations: to trust the wrong friend, to love the right woman, and to start believing that a man like himself can ever be safe.

Re: The Name of the Game is Death

In the middle of the last century the profession of a typist was, as you
know, very in demand. And in order, so to speak, to improve the
qualification, even world championships in typewriting were held,
where those who quickly and without errors typed the given text won
(this was done by the wonderful French film "Love at the fingertips").
Today, the place of a typewriter has been occupied by computer
keyboards, and instead of world championships games are being
developed in the genre typing game, and some also seriously test (and
improve) the skills of fast printing. But, as a rule, they are all simple-
looking, unpretentious in mechanics and appearance and strictly
profiled; Exception so far was only the Typing of the Dead , where we
killed zombies, quickly typing words.Epistory - Typing Chronicles -
quite another matter.

In the ranks of the Belgian studio Fishing Cactus many veterans of the
industry are working, behind whom work on Ubisoft , SEGA and Disney
. Naturally, when they started Epistory-Typing Chronicles , they did not
intend to confine themselves to the usual fast- motion simulator
disguised as a video game. And they came up with a really interesting
concept.

Firstly, the basis of the mechanics lies the cult The Legend of Zelda.
We play for a girl who is riding a fox traveling through forests, fields,
mountains, caves and dales. She explores the world, opens new
locations, searches for secrets and treasure chests, fights with various
aggressive insects, solves puzzles, learns the magic of the four
elements and accumulates experience points to become stronger,
faster and gain access to previously closed places - in general, classic
role-playing adventure game on proven recipes.

Secondly, all this is cemented by an unusual story, atmosphere and
style. A girl in a fox is a muse of a writer who writes either a story or a
story about saving a magical world. She, the writer, herself tells this
story as we visit key places. And the new locations: all these forests,
caves and mountains - grow right before our eyes from paper, as
crafts-origami.
