Charlotte Stuart

Charlotte Stuart

Award winning author Charlotte Stuart PhD writes mysteries that fall into a number of different sub genres: cozy mysteries, character-driven mysteries featuring a female PI, a laugh out loud comedic series, as well more traditional mysteries. She’s also co-authored a legal thriller with Don Stuart. In general, she favors twisty plots with a dollop of adventure.

Before she started writing full time, she left a tenured faculty position to go commercial salmon fishing in Alaska, spent a year sailing in the Washington and Canadian San Juans, became a partner in a management consulting group and later a VP of HR and Training. After living on boats for over a decade, boating and forays into wilderness areas often find their way into her stories.

Unicorns Can Be Deadly is the fifth in the Discount Detective Mysteries. The series won first place in the Chanticleer Mystery and Mayhem Series Awards. Other awards include a Global Ebook Gold, a Reader Views Silver, Incipere 2nd Place, and a Global Book Award Bronze. Her books also made finals in a number of competitions including the Silver Falchion and Eric Hoffer awards. And Who, Me? Fog Bows, Fraud and Aphrodite won a Firebird Award for “Best Title to Say Out Loud.”

Charlotte lives on Vashon Island in the Pacific Northwest and is the past president of the Puget Sound Sisters in Crime and a member of the Mystery Writers of America and the International Thriller Writers.
