Horror

Nellie Gardner hasn't had it easy.  When she learns her grandfather has left her a turpentine farm she takes her son and runs from an abusive monster of a husband.  Little did she know what they were in for.  It quickly becomes obvious monsters can be anywhere.

Andy Davidson has crafted a mesmerizing story in which nature, the supernatural, and humans collide.  Presented in vivid detail, every element of this story vibrates.  The past weighs heavily in this dark and well-plotted story. Just when I thought no more shocking secrets would be revealed, I found I was wrong.

For readers who love a good horror story that keeps them racing through the pages, THE HOLLOW KIND by Andy Davidson is a must-read.  Highly recommended.

SUMMARY

Nellie Gardner is looking for a way out of an abusive marriage when she learns that her long-lost grandfather, August Redfern, has willed her his turpentine estate.

It turns out that the "estate" is a decrepit farmhouse on a thousand acres of old pine forest, but Nellie is so thrilled about the chance for a fresh start for her and her son, that she doesn't notice that there's something wrong with Redfern Hill. Something lurks beneath the soil, ancient and hungry, with the power to corrupt hearts and destroy souls.
