Sam DeLuca never planned to show up in the country town of
Misty
Bottoms in the middle of the night. But that is exactly
where he finds
himself - staring at the dilapidated shell of what used to
be his Great Aunt's
home, that was now his. A New York City Detective, Sam hopes
to find
solitude here, to try and recover from a haunting ordeal
that has left him
physically and emotionally drained. He hopes that working on
the house to
get it ready for resale, will help him figure it all out.
But when his sweet,
sexy neighbour, Cricket, draws him out of the darkness,
sparks are sure to
fly.
Cricket O'Malley has returned to Misty Bottoms to fulfill
her dreams of
owning her own flower shop. Loving small-town country life,
everything
seems to be slotting nicely into place. Until she sets eyes
on her dark,
brooding neighbour. As friendship blooms into red hot
attraction Cricket
knows that she wants this man forever, but Sam is determined
to shut her
out and go back to New York. With nosy villagers, true
friendships,
jealousy, and sizzling emotions, can Cricket convince Sam to
stay so they
can fight his demons together?
EVERY BRIDE HAS HER DAY by Lynnette Austin is a romance that
has it
all! Sam is struggling to cope with what has happened in the
past, and is
determined to block Cricket out and leave Misty Bottoms
behind him, and I
really felt for him as he struggled to trust his own
judgement. Cricket is
feisty, strong and really loveable, and I love a character
that isn't afraid to
say what she wants. Throw in a beautiful town with so many
interesting and
unique characters, and this story is a winner. Part of the
Magnolia
Brides series, I cannot wait for more from this
author. EVERY
BRIDE HAS HER DAY by Lynnette Austin is a beautifully
written tale of
romance, friendship and learning to trust, and I highly
recommend it.
CAN LOVE REVIVE A WILTING HEART?
Cricket O’Malley can’t wait to plant roots back home in
Georgia, where she’s returned to restore an abandoned flower
shop to its former glory. The only blemish? Her neighbor’s
house is even more neglected than her old flower shop, and
its occupant seems as surly as he is darkly handsome.
Devastated body and soul after a tough case went south, New
York City detective Sam DeLuca thought he’d have no trouble
finding solitude in the quiet Georgia town of Misty Bottoms,
but his bubbly neighbor seems determined to shine happiness
into Sam’s life. Sam is equally determined to close himself
off, but his heart says otherwise…
