Lizzy Rollins is in no position to have a baby. As a
student, her focus is on completing her studies and trying
to forget about the one night she had with Stage Dive's
bass
player, Ben. Now, with the lines showing positive, her
whole
world has changed. Ben never wanted a family, but he also
doesn't want to be a bad father like his own. The two will
discover how to deal with sudden, unexpected changes in
life.
DEEP by Kylie Scott is a funny, sexy, and absolutely
entertaining new adult romance not to miss. This was my
first Kylie Scott novel, and I am so happy that I read it.
Lizzy is one of my favorite protagonists that I've read in
a
while- hilarious, unabashed, and fun. Her narration is the
perfect touch of quirky and intelligent that makes the
pages
fly by.
Though it's fairly common to see new adult novels with
alternating narratives, I was pleasantly surprised to see
that the story is told only through Lizzy's eyes, not
Ben's.
Ben's character is still extremely detailed and rich while
allowing the heart of the story to focus on Lizzy and her
journey into a territory she never expected to be in, at
least not for quite a while. Their dialogue is sweet,
realistic, and wonderfully flirty. Every scene between
them
feels authentic and sincere. Relationships, especially
those
that aren't actually planned and involve sudden surprises,
are messy, and Scott captures that perfectly.
Though this is the fourth novel in a series of companions,
DEEP still reads easily without having read the others.
Upon
ending the story, however, readers shouldn't be shocked if
they want to grab the other books immediately. Kylie Scott
is a wonderfully skilled writer, and DEEP is at the top of
my list to recommend to people looking for an emotional
story with a heart of humor and care.
Don't miss a beat with the fourth and final novel in the
New
York Times and USA Today bestselling Stage Dive series

Kylie Scott.
