In the eleventh installment to the Chicagoland
Vampires series, Chloe Neill
opens up Ethan Sullivan's past and reintroduces a player
that the cast
doesn't know if they can trust. Neill employs many moving
plot threads that
keep this book working at a fast-paced. If you haven't
read this series
before, I highly suggest reading it in order for a full
scope of the details.
My favorite aspect of this book is by far Ethan Sullivan.
I wondered about
him for a little bit, trying to guess what he would do
when faced with the
reappearance of an old friend. This new villain has done
what I think Neill
hoped his presence would do; create tension within the
guarded group while
also evoking several emotions from Ethan. He really
stepped in when
required and the books have been better ever since!
Chloe Neill shows off her excellent plotting talent while
creating deeper, more
multidimensional characters in DARK DEBT. This series just
continues to get
better and better.
A vampire never gets old. But neither do his enemies. When
a figure from Ethan\'s dark past makes a splashy debut in
Chicago, Merit and her Master don\'t know whether he\'s
friend or foe. But they\'ll have to figure out soon,
because trouble is brewing in the Windy City.
At an exclusive society soiree attended by the upper
echelons of the human and supernatural worlds, Merit and
Ethan barely stop the assassination of a guest. When the
target turns out to be a shady businessman with a criminal
edge, Merit suspects a human vendetta. But the assassins
have fangs....
The connections to Chicago\'s Houses go deeper than Merit
knows, and even one wrong move could be her last....
