Meet Kit Colbana -- a half human, half Aneira assassin and
the newest, baddest UF heroine to hit the block! In BLADE
SONG, J.C. Daniels introduces a new paranormal world where
shifters, vampires and witches roam yet Kit remains the
most dangerous person of them all.
The Alpha of the cat shifters encounters a serious problem
when her teenage nephew, Doyle goes missing right before he
is meant to "spike", or experience his first shift. At this
time, Kit Colbana is called in because she is their best
chance to find Doyle before something terrible happens to
him.
Kit is summoned by a very sexy shifter with an attitude
named Damon and is reluctantly pushed into this situation.
Yet Kit cannot say no to the cats when they show a picture
of the young teenage whose life could be in danger at this
very moment. Displaying compassion and determination,
Daniels creates a wonderfully balanced heroine in Kit.
Though she is tough, she isn't stone-cold. There's
something very relatable about Kit which makes her a
character that I instantly liked.
Damon required some more getting used to because of his
attitude problem, yet Daniels reveals some redeeming
qualities about him as the story progressed. By the end of
the book, I was hooked and simply wanted more to feed this
growing addiction.
Fans of Ilona Andrews, Patricia Briggs and Keri Arthur will
get a kick out of his brand new series. With the prefect
mixture of whip-smart dialogue, fuel-charged action and
dynamic characters, only Daniels' vast imagination can
limit this series. I suspect that the Colbana Files will
take Urban Fantasy to sizzling new heights!
Kit Colbana—half breed, assassin, thief, jack of all
trades—has a new job: track down the missing ward of one of
the local alpha shapeshifters. It should be a piece of cake.
So why is she so nervous? It probably has something to do
with the insanity that happens when you deal with
shifters—especially sexy ones who come bearing promises of
easy jobs and easier money.
Or maybe it’s all the other missing kids that Kit discovers
while working the case, or the way her gut keeps screaming
she’s gotten in over her head. Or maybe it’s because if she
fails—she’s dead.
If she can stay just one step ahead, she should be okay.
Maybe she’ll even live long to collect her fee…
