The last time we saw Andreas Reichen, he had just discovered his entire family at his Darkhaven home had been wiped out. Men, women, children, it didn't matter. They were all dead. Andreas will make someone pay and he knows just who needs to pay. He is out for vengeance. He doesn't anticipate coming across a blast from his past, Claire Roth, the only woman he'd ever loved. He had to leave her though when he discovered what his true power was and how it could destroy a breedmate so he daren't claim her.

What Andreas finds out is his dreaded enemy does claim her, her protector, Wilhelm Roth. Andreas figures he can get to Wilhelm through Claire. Claire doesn't believe that Andreas deigned to come back into her life. Then when he tells her some cock and bull story, she isn't sure what or who to believe. Should she be loyal to Wilhelm who basically ignores her unless he wants something or what? She is so confused! It doesn't help that the Order thinks Andreas died along with his family. What a surprise when they discover he's alive!

I devour each Breeds story so quickly, it just leaves me wanting more and more! Lara Adrian does such a good job of wrapping up each Breeds' story but still leaving us with the desire to learn what she has in store for the rest of the Breeds. Her Breeds are simply awesome!
