Riane Arvid is a Temporal Enforcer - someone who prevents
the abuse of time travel from criminals who would use it for
their own ends. When her suit is sabotaged, Riane is
trapped in 2009 by the Xerans, an alien culture that will
stop at nothing to rule time and space. Only with the aid
of Nick Wyatt will she be able to prevent the plans to break
the hold of the Enforcers.
Nick Wyatt has grown up with knowledge that there are beings
out there who would capture him. His mother died to protect
him. Nick is left with a stone which aids him in his work
of protecting the innocent. When he helps Riane, Nick will
learn more about his past than he ever could have imagined.
Some of the news will be difficult to accept.
An intriguing premise that kept my interest but left me a
little confused as well. Nick and Riane will battle aliens
at the same time as they battle their own insecurities.
They jump back and forth through time so often that I had
trouble keeping the years straight What they learn alter
their outlook on their lives and their goals as they work
through their feelings for each other. Ms. Knight has
created a unique world with some truly scary villains. As
this is part of a continuing series, I would recommend
starting from the beginning.
Riane Arvid is a superhuman cop from the future, trapped in
the year 2009 by group of murderous fanatics called the
Xeran.
Nick Wyatt is a handsome twentyfirst century
warrior who has been a target of the Xeran his entire life.
He’s the only one Riane can turn to, but his intentions are
as mysterious as his origins. In an attempt to discover the
truth about each other, both Riane and Nick decide seduction
is the best tactic.
