Romance Suspense | Suspense

Sarah Tucker awakens in a hospital bed after a car accident with no memory of her past. A strange man identifies her as his lover and accuses her of kidnapping their infant daughter. He paints a disturbing picture of her as an untrustworthy woman. The facts seem to support him; Sarah was driving a car she didn't own, she fled with no warning with their child, changed her identity and disappeared without a trace. And it's evident she's done this before. But the image he presents does not feel right to Sarah. She does, however, believe that she's in mortal danger and that it's imperative that she find her daughter.

Jake Saunders has been living a nightmare for seven months as he used all his resources to find his daughter. The hate he feels for Sarah nearly overwhelms him as he faces her in the hospital room. At first, he's skeptical about Sarah's claim of amnesia and refuses to let her out of his sight. However, when an attempt is made on her life, Jake joins Sarah in trying to jar her memory.

Wary of each other, Jake and Sarah follow what little information they have. It's evident that Sarah had a hidden past filled with danger. Jake pokes and prods her to remember her elusive past before it catches up and threatens their daughter.

Ms. Freethy creates a thrilling scenario of a woman without a past and on the run. The plot line is intricate and filled with lies, secrets and danger. The surprises will keep readers turning until the last page for the climatic ending. Ms. Freethy keeps the suspense taunt as she ends the story with a psychic making a disturbing prophecy regarding Jake's brother, Dylan. The answers will be revealed in the April 2008 release of SILENT FALL.
