Deep in the mountains of Britannia, a Druid Priest finds a
young Roman woman freezing to death in the snow. Owein
brings Clara to his village and reluctantly nurses her back
to health. During her recovery, the two find they have a
magical connection, but Owein won't allow Clara into his
visions, afraid that the darkness inside him will destroy
her.
Clara is searching for her mother's jeweled cup, stolen
from her home a few months ago. She desperately needs the
cup to save her father's life. Owein agrees to help her
find the cup knowing he will be rid of her soon.
Their journey takes them to the sacred isle of Avalon where
an evil Druidess intends to make Owein her king and destroy
the world of the Romans.
In THE GRAIL KING, Ms. Nash has woven a magical story in
the dark and turbulent times of Druids and Romans.
The Sacred Isle...All who dwelt in Avalon possessed the
powers of the Old Ones. But only some were keepers of the
Light. One among them had dared to call upon the Deep
Magic, conjuring up a dark storm that boded ill for the
people of Britain.
A magic cup from the East….enhanced by Druid spells of Deep
Magic, it has been lost for almost a century. In the hands
of a Keeper of the Light, the Lost Grail is dangerous.
Controlled by one sworn to Darkness, the consequences of
its use are unthinkable.
The vision came upon Owein suddenly: a delicate Roman
beauty materializing out of the swirling whiteness of the
snow. Her appearance near his ruined Celtic village made no
sense, but when the trance left him, she remained,
demanding that he use his Sight to help her find a stolen
grail. The last thing he intended was to use his gifts for
the good of his enemy, but there was something in the
lass’s innocent beauty that would not let him turn away.
