As one of the genetically enhanced people known as Kyndred,
Lilah has
always been able to communicate with
animals. Despite her precautions, she finds herself
with the
eye of GenHance upon her after a heroic animal
rescue. The next thing she knows, she's chained up
next to a
half dead man in the back of a truck.
Walker finds himself brought back from the dead by
an urge to
protect the woman chained against him. Her
warmth brings his heart back from death in more ways
than one.
Presumed dead from his deployment in
Afghanistan, he's been bought as a test subject for
GenHance's
new soldier serum.
But just as Walker gains Lilah's trust, she finds
