Liliana Corobca
Liliana Corobca was born on October 10, 1975, in the village of Saseni, Orhei County, Republic of Moldova. He graduated from the Faculty of Letters of the State University of Moldova, Romanian-Latin section. He holds a PhD in Philology (scientific director: Prof. Nicolae Manolescu) at the University of Bucharest, with the thesis The Character in the Interwar Romanian Novel, University of Bucharest Publishing House, 2003. He made his debut with the novel Negrissimo, Arc Publishing House, Chisinau, 2003 ("Prometheus" Prize for the debut of the magazine Romania literara, Debut Prize of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Moldova). He edited the correspondence from exile of Al. Busuioceanu, Un roman epistolar al exilului romanesc, vol. I and II, Jurnalul literar Publishing House, Bucharest, 2003, 2004), Romanian Poetry from Exile (anthology, preface and notes, Romanian Cultural Institute Publishing House, Bucharest, 2006), General Dictionary of Romanian Literature (co-author, Univers Enciclopedic Publishing House, Bucharest, 2004-2008).
