Celebrity Makeup Artist Shalini Vadhera cannot remember a
time when she hasn’t been fascinated by the world of beauty.
And this fascination has always reached far beyond her own home.
As a first-generation Indian-American, Shalini is no
stranger to trips around the globe, with new cultures and
histories constantly on her horizon. During her frequent
visits to relatives, she would spend hours watching Indian
women line their eyes with kohl; wondering at the flawless
skin touted by the women of Singapore Airlines and the
luxurious hair of Middle Eastern beauties. She began to
question—what were the secrets to all of this beauty? It
was this international exposure that sparked an enchantment
with the beauty techniques of various cultures, and the
seed of her lifework was planted.
A self-professed beauty junkie and a celebrity makeup artist
by trade, Shalini knew that she had uncovered something.
Something that every woman should know—that beauty can be
found everywhere. She wanted to bring the fruits of her
travels—pearls of beauty wisdom and discoveries of exotic
ingredients—to women everywhere.
And Global Goddess Beauty was born—the skincare and makeup
line that helps create awareness of different cultures and
countries and all the great beauty secrets they have to
offer. With exciting and unique ingredients, combined with
fascinating time-tested techniques from generations of women
around the globe, Global Goddess Beauty brings the entire
world to every woman’s doorstep and is available at Sephora
and on QVC.
Shalini continues to bring this global knowledge to her own
television presence as an internationally recognized
celebrity makeup artist and global beauty expert for several
networks and cosmetics companies.
While completing a degree in international business, Shalini
was given the opportunity to work as a makeup artist on NBC
Studio’s "The Tonight Show." After numerous celebrity
requests, she went on to work with CBS Studios, Disney
Studios, "Hollywood Squares," "The Bold and the Beautiful,"
"The Survivor Reunions" and "Dancing with the Stars".
Shalini has also made frequent appearances as a celebrity
beauty expert on CBS’s "The Early Show," VH-1’s "How the
Stars Get Hot", E!’s "Style Star," Lifetime's "Head To Toe,"
TBS’s "Movie and a Makeover," "Before and Afternoon Movies,"
"Soap Talk," "The Isaac Mizrahi Show," and "Smart Solutions"
on HGTV. Her most recent work includes an appearance as a
multi-cultural beauty expert on "Life and Style" and
Entertainment Tonight’s "Celebrity Weddings Unveiled" as
Hollywood’s leading makeup artist.
A skilled speaker, Shalini was the Revlon spokesperson for
the 2004 Academy Awards, The Olay spokesperson for their
Clarity launch, and was the national spokesperson for Lola
Cosmetics on QVC. She recently worked with ChapStick on its
2006 Make Under campaign.
Shalini also does extensive work as a celebrity makeup
artist, boasting a lengthy and impressive client list that
includes Alec Baldwin, Brooke Burke, Cybil Shepherd, Simon
Cowell, Tyson Beckford, Ty Pennington, and the cast of "The
