Re: Highland Sword (3:58pm February 15, 2020):

Hmmm...I don't know. I love doing both. I've always enjoyed
baking, but since I've not had a decent kitchen, I've found
myself doing less baking due to my desire to bake lots of
different types of items and to spread my kitchen goodies
around the area. With no room, I keep my things stored.

Re: The Winter Companion (3:55pm February 15, 2020):

I love love love a great molasses spice cookie - I bake mine
with coconut palm sugar so that those with sugar issues are
more likely to be able to eat them.

Re: Storm from the East (3:53pm February 15, 2020):

I would cook some dried apples with a bit more of that brown
sugar and cover the top of the cake with this.

Re: Title Wave (11:04pm June 24, 2016):

This was a beautiful interview. I learned so much about Lorraine. I love mysteries, but I also love fantasies (among other genres). It's wonderful to discover a great author who can do them both so well.

Re: The Diva Serves High Tea (2:50am June 14, 2016):

I love the recipe. Thank you for providing it.

As a Southerner, I mastered the art of making tea cakes at the ripe old age of seven years old. I can make some lovely, delicate, soft tea cakes (or even make them crispy for those who prefer them that way...though ick...that is a COOKIE, not a TEA cake).

Re: To Love A Wolf (2:46am June 14, 2016):

We will probably see WoW - though it'll probably be at home. We are on a really, really tight budget, so we'll save money and rent it via Amazon (if it comes on there). We don't even have "real" TV anymore, just Netflix and Amazon.

Re: The Bones Will Speak (2:42am June 14, 2016):

I really want to read this book. It's been on my list since I first heard about it. I would be overjoyed to win this contest.

Re: Vendetta (2:39am June 14, 2016):

I love great thrillers and this sounds like a great thriller. I would love to win a copy of this book.

Re: The Girl in the River (11:12pm October 22, 2015):

I haven't seen the river Thames, though I hope to someday. I have seen the Mississippi River many, many times and it is dangerous, too (though maybe not as dangerous as the Thames). When it decides to overflow its banks, it floods homes, killing many and doing millions of dollars of damage. My father's home was on stilts and it still flooded more than once. People living in certain areas had to live in high preparedness during the late winter and spring months as flood season was brutal and often happened swiftly, with very little warning.

Re: How to Plan a Wedding for a Royal Spy (8:59am January 15, 2015):

I have had my own share of unfortunate wardrobe malfunctions. Fortunately, marriage wasn't a forced result of said malfunction. *shudder* This book sounds like great fun.

Re: Meow If It's Murder (8:50am January 15, 2015):

I love that you include an animal in your mystery fiction. My own animals are such an important part of my life. I absolutely love reading about characters whose pets are a huge part of their lives, as well. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Hitting on the Hooker (8:45am January 15, 2015):

Hi Mina, from what I understand, there are really only two positions: there are 8 forwards and 7 backs. Thanks for the giveaway.

Re: Into Darkness (11:08pm October 20, 2014):

I loved this post. These are some of the worst superpowers imaginable. I do think I might have the horrendous voice, though...

Re: Zombified (8:49am September 2, 2014):

This sounds truly fascinating. I didn't think there was a way to make zombies sexy, but it sounds as if you've done it! I'm looking forward to reading Zombified.

Re: Teacup Turbulence (8:30pm January 27, 2014):

Your books sound great. I am a huge pet lover and hope to own enough land someday to be able to support my pet habit better. I have yearned to write grants for no kill shelters, but sadly, my grants were geared more toward housing, drug and alcohol programs, or youth programs. I did work with prison animal programs (Wild Horse gentling and puppy training and adoption). It is so wonderful to see an author that also has a deep love for animals and shows that love through her books. I visited your site and sent you a friend request on Facebook. Thank you for this chance to win your work.

Re: Sadie's Secret (9:42pm January 17, 2014):

I never realized there were female Pinkerton agents. I find this exciting! I thought at that time, women were pretty much left to either secretarial, housekeeping and related duties, or prostitution.

Re: One Rogue Too Many (10:51pm January 16, 2014):

Yes, I definitely remember my first crush. I fell in love with him when I was very, very young and was deeply in love by the time I was 7. I didn't get over him until I was in high school. By the time he deigned to notice me (after he'd dated my two best friends), and asked me out, telling me how great we'd be together, I was done. I told him he'd had enough years to realize how great we'd be together. I was moving on.

Re: Between A Rake And A Hard Place (10:47pm January 16, 2014):

I like both; each has its own time and place in my heart.

Re: Now or Never (4:50am January 16, 2014):

It is never too late for love, though sometimes we make decisions, putting our children, or finances, or safety ahead of love. Love is risky. It is uncertain and can be painful, but nothing worth having is ever really, truly easy. Sometimes, we have to close our eyes and just jump, trusting the parachute of life to catch us.

Re: Limoncello Yellow (8:18am January 15, 2014):

I would probably pick New Orleans. With the constant parades, mix of cultures, the various lifestyles, religions, and regional differences all housed within the city's borders, there is little one can't find. It is about as colorful a city as one can find anywhere in the world.

Re: Shadowed By Grace (11:26am January 10, 2014):

My grandfather was one of those veterans who did what was needed. He is one of the world's greatest men. I loved your post.

Re: Songs of Shenandoah (11:22am January 10, 2014):

I get so wrapped up in characters' lives that I actually get depressed if a a book (or movie) is sad. I try to avoid anything that ends in sadness because I become too invested in the characters. Isn't that pitiful? When reading, I want to be swept away from life, and if the writing is good, those characters become real to me, and their lives become real. I don't want bad things to happen to them. I am such a softie, I know. My husband gives me a hard time, but I know other reader and writers will understand. Creations are just that - creations - they become real.

Re: The Magic Between Us (9:56am January 10, 2014):

My son, also 9, is having a heck of a time with reading. I sometimes think it's because his sister reads so well. I have tried everything, too. Except letting him read on my precious Kindle Fire. Maybe I should try to find him one. He doesn't take care of things, but the way you're talking about could work. Also, I could start by letting him use mine while sitting beside me. I have a Kindle Paperwhite he could use, but I know he'd want the color photos. My mind is whirling with the possibilities. Thank you so much for sharing.

Re: Lord Of The Hunt (9:47am January 10, 2014):

Thank you for always providing a HEA. If I want tradegy, I'll remain focused constantly on the real world. I do not read to be sad; I read to immerse myself in another world and to find a place where love always wins.

Re: The Groom's Gamble (10:21am January 8, 2014):

I love looking at his face and chest in What the Groom Wants. It would be such a shame to deprive anyone of viewing those fine features. However, that gorgeous back pictured on Grimm Consequences and Unclaimed is also a lovely sight to behold. Then, those luscious arms (Captive Rose) and that intense, sexy, overall appeal in Her Bodyguard can't be ignored either. Heavens, what a difficult decision. I'm going with the most touchable sexiness of The Groom's Gamble.

Re: What the Heart Wants (10:12am January 8, 2014):

My family comes from a similar heritage, but it seems only I have the propensity to sometimes know things. I know how to remove warts (but I use a penny), can predict the sex of a pregnant woman's child (using certain tools), etc. People who aren't prepared for such knowledge tend to freak out, so I don't share. Ever. Mostly I don't discuss it anymore and haven't for years. My sister grew up calling me a witch and meaning it, but only in a good way. Thank you for sharing with us; I thoroughly enjoyed reading this post and would love to read the book. [email protected]

Re: Needing Her (12:39pm December 29, 2013):

My older sister has always been terrified of mice. One night she had her best friend over to spend the night and they had been especially obnoxious to me. We'd had a slight rodent problem in the past, so I crafted some mice out of panty hose and placed them strategically in the hallway, knowing they wouldn't turn on the lights when they went for snacks. They trekked down the hallway, saw my creations (4 or 5 of them with little glittery eyes) and went bonkers. They ran screaming back the way they'd come, into my mom's bathroom, leapt upon her toilet and dislodged it from the wall. I, in the meantime, removed my little pets and hid them away, while they tried to explain to my mom why they were in screaming hysterics. HEE HEE. Oh sweet revenge.

Re: The Best Game (9:44pm December 8, 2013):

So much can be said with an appropriate gesture or look, but some people have trouble writing that without it becoming a description of hands and eyes. Thanks so much for sharing.

Re: Tempest's Course (10:03pm December 7, 2013):

A genre never dies; it just changes names.

Re: Legend Of The Highland Dragon (10:01pm December 7, 2013):

Poor Mina - secretaries have such tough jobs. They are the faces of the companies and have to put up with all the crap, know all the people, handle all the garbage, be organize, and on and on and on. I cannot wait to read your book. I want to find out how she handles the stress.

Re: Everlasting Enchantment (9:58pm December 7, 2013):

While almost all shapeshifters are sexy, I love those big cats. There's just something about the walk, all hypnotic and smooth, that just spells sexy to me.
